United Launch Alliance // The Inaugural Launch of Vulcan, January 2024
I'm thrilled to showcase my involvement in the inaugural launch of the Vulcan rocket. As the Senior Creative Producer, I stepped into my usual role to ensure seamless photo and video documentation. Recognizing the significance of this mission, I pitched a number of special projects to elevate our usual communications products, including updating broadcast graphics and commissioning new animations for the flight profile. However, what set this launch apart was the opportunity to serve as the communications project manager. In this capacity, I oversaw all communication objectives, guaranteeing their successful completion.
After about six years documenting the rocket's development, then scripting the ULA portion of the collaborative NASA broadcast, I've been deeply immersed in this rocket’s lifecycle. As launch week approached, I journeyed to Florida, taking charge of all documentation efforts while also mentoring a new team member. Rocket launches often mean odd hours, and Vulcan was no exception, with the rocket lifting off flawlessly at 2:18 am.

Project Responsibilities
Project Management
Served as the communication project manager for this first launch of ULA's new Vulcan rocket. This responsibility included crafting the master document for all communications initiatives and hosting weekly meetings to collaborate with team on budget, social media, merchandise, photo/video, events, graphic design, public relations, and employee communications.
Brand Management
Ensured consistent branding across all ULA photo and video products for this campaign.
Content Creation
Created a compelling array of visual assets for this monumental launch. This included an overview of the new rocket, a time lapse of rocket painting, an appreciation video for the factory technicians, 16 b-roll edits of stacking events, the post-launch highlights, and the on-board 'RocketCam' edit. I also generated video content for the CEO and prepared liftoff clips tailored for various social media platforms along with other video assets for the live broadcast.
